Traffic Capabilities
Traffic engineers play a key role on the development team and the approval process as traffic impacts are one of the major concerns of both the reviewing agencies and more importantly, opposition groups. Traffic expertise allows for clear identification of scoping issues, critical path schedules, and traffic impacts & feasible mitigation. The traffic engineer can help avoid the "showstoppers" to get the development opened.
Traffic impacts are evaluated for the site and the adjacent roadway network by analyzing existing intersections that will experience increased traffic due to the proposed development's traffic distribution. The goal is to minimize impacts to the roadway network by identifying feasible mitigation while getting your development quickly approved and generating revenue.
The approval process can be enhanced and accelerated with the use of Visualization - a detailed 3D simulation that combines the physical environment and actual traffic operations to create one complete presentation package. It provides a dynamic and interactive virtual project to help people see and understand the project before it is built. Visualization can be extremely valuable in gaining quick project approvals thereby saving valuable time and money.
