Proper Signage Helps Truckers

Many communities install "Local Truck Route" or "No Truck" signs to identify designated truck routes and assist truck drivers with finding their way through local, urban areas. These signs must be installed in conformance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. If your community or agency is responsible for these signs, periodic inventories should be made to ensure that the signs are correctly installed, follow a defined and authorized route, and are not missing or contradictory.
