Party Chief (Construction Survey) - Rochester, NY

Fisher Associates has an immediate opening for an experienced Party Chief to support our construction survey practice. Candidates must be motivated and able to work independently supporting our construction clients with survey layout tasks. Documented experience with the traditional and GPS survey equipment for layout duties is a must and the ability to assist Contractors with their machine control systems is a plus.

Enrollment in a company sponsored alcohol/drug testing program is mandatory.

Minimum Education Requirement: Associates Degree

Position requires a minimum of 10 years of construction surveying experience, with 5 years minimum in the role of Party Chief.

Structural Project Engineer - Rochester, NY

Full time position in our Rochester or Pittsburgh office for a licensed Bridge Project Engineer with 6-12 years of transportation structures related experience. Must be able to design and prepare plans for all aspects of bridge projects. Understanding of MicroStation is preferable.

Minimum qualification includes:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering and 6 – 12 years transportation structures experience

Fisher Associates is seeking a motivated, self-starting individual with 5+ years’ experience conducting wetland delineations to fill a Wetland Scientist position in our fast growing company.  The position may be located in our Buffalo, NY, Rochester, NY or Canonsburg (Pittsburgh), PA offices. Candidate will be expected to perform delineations independently as well as lead and manage larger field efforts and technical staff and produce high-level reports and documentation in support of permitting efforts for a variety of public and private sector clients.  Experience with a broad range of projects is preferred to support Fisher’s energy, land development and transportation assignments.  Experience with mitigation design and planning, wetland and stream restoration projects, and conducting plant/wildlife habitat surveys is desired but not required.   

Candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, demonstrated experience managing field staff, solid technical writing/editing abilities, good interpersonal communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, excellent planning and organization skills, commitment to quality in both work processes and products, and willingness to assume new roles.  The position includes frequent field work and overnight travel, primarily in NY, PA, OH and WV. Full time position in our Buffalo Office for a licensed bridge project manager with 10 – 15 years of transportation structures related experience.  The position requires understanding all aspects of preparing a construction bid package for NYSDOT and LAFA transportation projects; providing direction and oversight of internal design staff;and coordination/communication with clients, and regulatory approving agencies.  Strong marketing skills required.

 Minimum qualifications include:

  • B. S.  (Master’s preferred) in Civil Engineering and 10 – 15 years of structural design and project management experience

Oil & Gas Surveyors - Canonsburg, PA

Fisher Associates has multiple openings for Oil & Gas Surveyors / Pipeline Routers to support our growing Energy practice. Candidates must be motivated, self-starters able to work independently on Oil & Gas projects throughout PA, WV, OH, and NY. Experience with both mapping grade and survey grade survey equipment is required.

These positions will require extended periods of travel and attention to detail is a must. Sample field documentation will be requested.

Survey Manager - Canonsburg, PA

Fisher Associates is a looking for a team oriented, experienced Survey Manager in our Canonsburg, PA Office.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter with knowledge of all aspects of surveying including assisting with and coordinating field work, performing survey calculations, preparing mapping and assembling cost proposals for clients.  Client base is diverse and includes energy sector, transportation, land development, municipal agencies and the private sector.

Position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, computer literacy and Cadd experience. GIS knowledge is desirable. Project management skills including client development, budget management, loss prevention, and knowledge and familiarity with QA/QC procedures required.

Minimum requirements include a Pennsylvania Land Surveying license.  West Virginia and Ohio Licenses (or ability to immediately obtain) is desirable.  Salary is commensurate with experience level.

Regional multi-disciplinary firm is accepting resumes for a GIS Technicians for our Erie, PA office.  Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop required.  Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science or other degree with extensive GIS course work required.  Salary based on qualifications.
